三重一村是北部地區僅存的防砲眷村，也是新北市眷村類文化資產的首例，採全區保存，也是北部地區保存比較完整的眷村之一，裡面保存有日治時期所構築的地下甬道以及防砲陣地。
三重一村榮獲新北市108年最受劇組歡迎的熱門拍攝場景，是「一把青」、「光陰的故事」等電視劇的拍攝地點，最近上映的電影「大約在冬季」也在這個地方拍攝取景。
